What is a secondary?

Secondaries are different from standard primary campaigns. Here's the basic description.

A secondary transfers equity from existing shareholder(s) who are "sellers". This differs from a primary where new equity is issued by the business.

In most cases, investors on Seedrs will still be purchasing shares under the Seedrs nominee. Sellers may either be selling from within the nominee or transferring their directly-held shares into the nominee to enable the secondary.
