If you have an available balance in your Republic Europe Investment Account, such as a refund from a cancelled investment, you can request to withdraw. To submit a withdrawal request, press the 'Withdraw' button next to the balance of your account (GBP / EUR) at the top of the same page:
You will then be taken to the withdrawal checkout journey where you should follow the onscreen instructions. The checkout consists of the steps below.
Step 1 - Password or Two-factor Authentication
You will be prompted to enter a password during withdrawal. If you signed up using your Google account you have not created a password yet. To set one up please log out, go back to the login page and click on 'Forgot password?' to ask for a password reset. This will also enable you to set up a password if you haven't got one yet:
If you have two-factor authentication set up with a phone number or an authenticator app, please enter the code from your SMS or the App:
Step 2 - Set the amount you wish to withdraw:
A breakdown of how you will receive your funds will be displayed. These will be returned via the last payment method(s) you used and, if not applicable, to the account you define on the third step:
Step 3 - Insert the Bank account details to where the funds should go in case we are unable to send the funds back to the designated card(s) / account(s):
We will then process the withdrawal as soon as possible once requested. Please note that It can take up to 10 working days to reach your account and that the funds will be returned via the last method(s) used to make a deposit / transfer.
NB: Please bear in mind that although your Republic Europe Investment Account will display the funds immediately as unavailable, it may take up to 10 days for the funds to reach your bank account
For funds that are being returned via Bank transfer, we use our payment provider Currency Cloud. Please keep a look out for Currency Cloud or Republic Europe on your Bank statement when expecting these funds.
Occasionally, our team may need more information from you to process the request manually and you may have to provide a Bank statement, IBAN / BIC information.
What happens if I convert my funds before withdrawing them?
If you request currency conversion of your funds to before withdrawing them, this will increase the time it takes to send the funds back to you as the conversion will need to finalise before the withdrawal is processed.
When you request the conversion of your funds, you can see the converted funds immediately displayed as available in your Republic Europe Investment Account balance. However, it may take up to 5 working days for the conversion to be completed therefore extending the time to process the return of your funds.
